Reward Tips
Download PDF
As a dedicated blood drive sponsor, you may often find yourself asking, "Do I really have to offer rewards for someone contributing to our blood drive effort? Isn't giving the gift of life enough for someone to feel really good about him or herself?" The adult in us would undeniably agree, however, it is the child in us that seems to jump up and down and say, "So, where's my prize?". This is simply human nature.
For our sponsors, the Red Cross suggests that you consider recognizing donors and your recruitment teams for their efforts. A simple token of appreciation goes further than one might think. And it will benefit you in more ways than one since individuals will be returning to donate and participate time and time again. Here are some helpful tips from larger business sponsors in the NY-Penn Region that can be scaled for companies or organizations of any size:

"Corning's success is based on four key components like the legs of a stool. First, visible senior management support led by Peter Volanakis COO. Second, process driven results.
